Three Tesla Powerpacks Installed
Sigora Solar funded the the transport and installation of utility-scale batteries to Sigora Haiti doubling the amount of clean energy supplied to the grid. This adds stability to the region and lessens the dependence on unreliable diesel supplies.
200 Street Lights Installed
HADPRE was able to install 200+ new streetlights. These efforts increase security in the streets, prevent violence against women and children, and increases the quality of life in Mole St Nicholas.
Disaster & Covid-19 Relief
HADPRE donated masks, face shields, sanitizers, gloves, protective suits, oxygene bottles, and additional equipment to allow healthcare workers in the region to handle Covid patients while protecting themselves. They also ran sensitization campaigns and provided information material to the population about preventing the spread of Covid-19.
Breast Cancer Clinic Batteries
HADPRE installed battery packages in the only breast cancer clinic in Haiti – allowing the institutions to continue services for women suffering from breast cancer. Without this support the clinic would have been unable to operate due to diesel shortages.
Rooftop Solar for Hospital
The solar Install at St Louis du Nord Hospital was accomplished with solar panels donated by Sigora Solar. This is the only hospital in the Northwestern Region with a proper working operation room and staff 24/7 available. The institution serves a direct population of approximately 130,000 people.
Food and Fuel Support
With the high devaluation of the local currency and political instability – Haiti experienced severe food and supply shortages. HADPRE supported the purchase and transport of both food supplies and diesel to keep electricity services running for a population of over 25,000 people.
Through Sigora Solar’s One-For-One program, Sigora Haiti is able to operate and provide 24/7 clean, reliable electricity to the region.
